Ayurveda
Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest forms of healing: it began in India more than 3,000 years ago and spread to Sri Lanka, where Sinhalese kings established Ayurveda treatment centres in the ancient cities of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa. The word ‘Ayurveda’ is derived from the Sanskrit words for life (ayuh) and knowledge or science (veda). Ayurveda offers a combined approach starring herbs, diet, massage, hydrotherapy and oil treatments. It can be used to help everything from stress to diabetes, migraines, asthma, arthritis and high blood pressure. It also has huge benefits for your immune system.
